A COMMEMORATIVE plate has been created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of a social group.
Artist Isabel Hamilton painted a plate to mark the first decade of the Evergreens, a club for the over-50s based at Bishop Auckland Town Hall.
Miss Hamilton has been a member of the group for about a year and wanted to help members celebrate its anniversary with the ornament, which may be displayed in the hall.
Images on the plate include stars to remember the club's first name, Twilight, golden pearls to represent members' ages, and dance shoes, candles, a musical score and a flower arrangement to show some of the group's events.
Organiser Sue Abel said: "It is a beautiful plate, we all appreciate the thought and work that has gone into it to show the variety of our activities. I'm pleased our anniversary is being celebrated."
