A DARLINGTON nursery is celebrating receiving a glowing report from Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) inspectors.

The Just Learning Nursery opened in September 1996 and currently has 125 children in its register, aged from six weeks to eight years old.

The nursery was highly praised by the inspectors in all key areas, including: Children's progress in personal, social and emotional development, progress in communication, language and literacy, mathematics, physical and creative development, and progress in knowledge and understanding of the world.

The report highlights the good quality childcare and the warm and welcoming environment offered by a team of management and staff who work well together.

Praise is given to the wide range of stimulating activities and play opportunities and the good relationship between staff and children.

The report concludes that the provision is of high quality and "children are making very good progress towards the early learning goals".

Michael Fallon, managing director of Just Learning, said: "This is a great credit to all the staff and reassures parents and prospective parents that their children are receiving the highest quality care, education and social development skills."
