Kicking against the wind Crook opened the scoring against Blyth Spartans on two minutes with a goal from Kelly Rushworth after a great cross from a Nicky Duckling.
It was really heavy going with the wind causing havoc with high balls, but Crook got number two on 16 minutes from Nicky Duckling. This started with a kick from the goal line by Gemma Gibson to Amanda odds, down the left wing to Jenni Duffy then onto Nicky.
Kelly Rushworth got her brace on 44 minutes after a cross from Sarah Carter. The wind had gone down a lot in the second half but heavy legs on both sides made this half seem unspectacular after such a great first half.
A mostly young Blyth team gave as good as they got especially their number three Jenny Fulcher.
After the 3-0 win Crook are now joint top on points and are away to Darlington RA tomorrow.
