Durham City were away to Wardley and it was a fast-paced and event filled encounter, with Wardley finding themselves 2-0 to the good at the break. Durham City had squandered a penalty in the first minute, but had continued to create chances throughout the first half without converting.
The second half saw Durham improve, and it was no surprise when Mel Jones pulled a goal back. Durham were awarded a second penalty but the Wardley keeper saved well. The home side rallied and scored a superb third from long range.
Durham keeper Julie Burns produced a string of great saves, before the third penalty was awarded - again to the visitors. This time Julie Campbell made no mistake. Then Charlotte Rimmer superbly equalised in the final minute - a deserved point for Durham city in a game which had everything.
