INTERNATIONAL pianist Mami Shikimori will play at Sir William Turner's Alms-houses, at Kirkleatham, near Redcar, on Tuesday.
The musician was born in Japan and won a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music, in London.
She has since performed extensively in Britain, the US, Japan and Thailand, as a soloist, ensemble player and accompanist.
"Miss Shikimori played at Kirkleatham almost two years ago and before the evening was over people were asking for her to return and play again," said Peter Sotheran, concert organiser at Kirkleatham.
"This has been the first opportunity to fit a return visit into the artist's busy schedule."
Tickets for the concert, priced £10, are available from Peacock's, in Westgate, Guisborough, or on (01287) 632225 for credit card sales. They will also be available at the door.
