Two local under-15 sides face each other at Spennymoor United this evening with all proceeds going to the Moors who are raising money to replace their clubhouse which was destroyed by fire at Christmas.

Coxhoe Boys take on Spennymoor Boys and both sides will be competing for the Coxhoe Invitation Cup.

Admission is £1 and the game kicks-off at 7.15pm.

Coxhoe have been allowed to play several game at the Brewery Field over the last year and Coxhoe boss, Bobby Orton, has thanked Moors' owner, Bennie Mottram, for his genrosity in allowing the junior side to use the club's facilities

On Sunday Coxhoe faced Newton Hall St Bedes in Division One of the Russell Foster Tyne and Wear Youth League and recorded their 13th win as many matches this season.

In windy conditions that made it difficult for both sides, Coxhoe won 5-1 with two players scoring twice.

Liam Short had a good game and scored twice while, as did Michael Roberts who converted a long-range free-kick and a penalty.

In a game in which the entire defence played well, Nathan Ward also got on the scoresheet.

On Sunday Coxhoe play in the Solar Cup at home against Hylton Castle, 1pm.
