On Saturday three junior Quakers were competing at Guisborough to represent their county at the forthcoming English Schools Cross Country Championships.

On a cold, windy day with the odd hailstone shower Julia Orr had yet another win and stormed to take first place in her age category. Sarah and Katherine James were also competing for a place at Maidstone. Both girls had fantastic runs but due to a fall Katherine narrowly missed out on qualifying. Sarah now goes through to compete for Durham County.

Julia Orr was competing once again in the Northern's Cross Country League on Sunday, January 26. Despite being extremely windy and muddy, Julia had yet another fantastic run to finish second in the under-17 women's race, only five seconds behind the winner.

This year's Durham Dales Fell Series has now been confirmed. There will be a total of seven races to contribute to the series with some serious sponsorship in place!
