Willington WMC and West Auckland Queens Head met for the second week in succession and Queens gained revenge for last week's defeat with a win in the Auckland Charity Cup.

Richard Breen put Willington ahead but the visitors came back to lead 2-1. Breen equalised for the Club but a much better all round performance saw Queens Head win 4-2 with goals from Andrew Bowes (2), Martin Robinson and sub Hamish Foster. They could have had more but Willington keeper Dale Parkinson saved a penalty.

Bishop Rugby Club regained top spot with a solid performance against Byers Green St Peters. After a goalless first half Matthew Tyrie opened the scoring for Rugby Club in the 75th minute. Late goals from Kevin McCormack and Alan Jones wrapped up a 3-0 victory.

Howden Australian raced into a 3-0 lead at Evenwood White Swan through John Connolly and Kevin Burke (2). Christopher Howe and Kevin Watson pulled it back to 3-2 but Australian held on to win. This was the second league defeat in three games for title chasing Evenwood.

Dale Jardine, Anthony Ebdon and Bob Marley all grabbed a brace in Coundon and Leeholme Juniors' 7-1 success at home to Tow Law Station. Anthony Dargue was the other Coundon scorer and the win takes them up to third. John Payne scored the Station's consolation.

Crook White Swan looked on the way to victory when Chris Parkinson put them ahead at home to Stanhope Town. An excellent all round team performance saw Stanhope turn the game round and they ended 6-1 winners. Andy Lee notched a hat trick and the rest came from Darren Fletcher, Simon Pugh and sub Thomas Emmerson.

After losing their last four in the league Wearhead returned to winning ways against Roddymoor.
