A STUDENT has left university after claiming she was victimised for posing topless for a national newspaper.

Mother-of-two Louise Wilkinson, 24, said she had been told to stay away from her midwifery course at Teesside University and study at home after her photos appeared in print.

The Billingham woman had been due to attend a disciplinary hearing at the university but decided to quit.

Miss Wilkinson, who had her breasts enlarged from a 34AA to a 34FF, said she would consider having them enlarged again if it led to more modelling.

She said she felt she had been unfairly treated by the University of Teesside and had left. She said: "I feel as though I've been pushed out. They told me to stay away and not to talk to anyone but I felt I had been victimised for doing nothing wrong.

"Everyone has supported me, even people on the street who has said the university has been really old fashioned about it. I think I would have made a good midwife but now I'll give modelling a go. If I had a permanent contract I would certainly consider having my breasts enlarged again."

A spokesman for the university said efforts had been made to help Miss Wilkinson to continue with her course.

He said: "Her attendance and professional conduct were discussed with her throughout the year and every assistance was given to her to continue with her chosen course

"The university has clear procedures to deal with issues of professional conduct and an investigation started prior to the publication of photographs of Louise in a national newspaper."
