YOUNG arsonists have been burning bushes and hedges across a Teesside estate for more than four weeks.
The arsonists, thought to be teenagers, have been using flammable liquids to start fires in gardens across the Hartburn estate in Stockton.
A police spokeswoman said officers were worried as the number of fires had been increasing.
She said: "There were four garden bushes set on fire last week and officers think it is only a matter of time before a serious incident occurs."
Police are working with Neighbourhood Watch representatives. Anyone with any information is asked to call Sergeant Colin Whitfield on (01642) 302226.
