TUTORS from Stockton made an impact when they took part in a learning trip to Spain.
The educational training visit was organised by Stockton Borough Council's adult education service, and 12 tutors, including one from Stockton Riverside College, took part in three days of teacher training in interactive methods, which were then practised with English language students in a school in Madrid alongside their teachers and trainers.
The techniques generated a lot of attention and the teachers were filmed and broadast by a Spanish television station.
The visit was part of the Socrates International programme, which the adult education service has been involved with for a year.
Spokeswoman Julie Walker said: "All the tutors have gained an enormous amount both professionally and personally from the course. It has been a great success and has built relationships.
"We hope to be able to build on this and offer further courses in the future."
