COUNTY Durham's sport development organisation has committed itself to fighting racism.
Durham Sport, which co-ordinates the development of sport in the county, has signed the Racial Quality Charter for Sport.
It has pledged to curb discrimination, celebrate cultural diversity, develop the equality policies and encourage people from all communities to watch and play sport.
Durham Sport chairman Dr Peter Warburton said signing the charter endorsed the work it had already done to promote racial equality.
