THE North-East's booming property market has helped two leading estate agents to greater success.
Storeys:ssp and Lamb and Edge were recognised by the online website of Estates Gazette Group, EGi, as the most active regional and local agent respectively in the region.
The two firms were ranked top in its 2003-2004 competition based on the number of deals they completed, irrespective of size, during the past 12 months.
EGi said that overall, the number of commercial property deals carried out by companies operating in the region had been stable for the past 12 months.
Retail dominated commercial property transactions, with 43 per cent, compared to 25 per cent for the office sector and 18 per for the industrial sector.
