Byers Green St Peters are through to the final of the Weardale Cup after a semi final victory over Roddymoor.

After a goalless first half Paul Brownson and Christopher Pickles gave St Peters a two goal lead. Roddymoor pulled one back late on but the home side held out to go through.

Coundon and Leeholme Juniors and West Auckland Queens Head provided fine entertainment despite atrocious conditions. Daniel Wailes put Coundon ahead but Martin Robinson equalised ten minutes from time. Wailes restored the Coundon lead in extra time but Gavin Lonsdale made it 2-2. Two goals from sub Anthony Ross gave Coundon a 4-2 win that earned them a final against Byers Green.

Evenwood White Swan faced Aycliffe in the semi final of the Sacriston Aged Miners Cup and were just 2-1 down at half time with Neil Teesdale the Evenwood scorer. The White Swan capitulated during a one way second period and Aycliffe ran out 8-1 winners.

A Dwayne Hinds penalty gave Rugby Club a 1-0 half time lead at home to Crook White Swan. John Paul Collinson made the final score 2-0 to Rugby Club who hold a three points lead at the top after winning six in a row. Howden Australian hit the Willington WMC woodwork but it was the visitors who took a half time lead through Wayne Fleming. Sub Kevin Burke equalised in the 80th minute but Anthony Stewart restored the Willington advantage three minutes from time. Howden earned a share of the points with a last minute equaliser from Burke.
