DOZENS of youngsters took the plunge last night in a swimming contest.
The small schools swimming gala was held at the Dolphin Centre, Darlington.
Competitors came from Rise Carr, St Augustine's, Hurworth House, High Coniscliffe, Bishopton Redmarshall, Gurney Pease, Polam Hall, Red Hall, Holy Family, St Bede's, Mount Pleasant and St John's primary schools.
The large schools gala will be held on Thursday.
