A GROUP set up to promote the interests of people over 50 in Darlington says it is going from strength to strength.
Growing Older Living in Darlington (Gold) celebrated a string of achievements at its annual conference.
More than 150 people heard of the advances made by the group since it was set up two years ago.
The conference was told that in the past year Gold had highlighted transport problems and linked up with organisations to try to solve them; and asked Darlington Primary Care Trust to carry out research into whether there was discrimination on cataract services, hip and knee replacements and community equipment provision.
