A 20-year-old woman was left severely traumatised after being raped as she walked home from a night out in Middlesbrough, police said.
The victim, who said she was attacked by a man who spoke in broken English, was grabbed as she turned from Linthorpe Road into Gresham Road.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said: ''She has been left severely traumatised by her ordeal. To get all the details of what happened is going to take time.''
