THE first passengers will board flights from the North-East to two Mediterranean hot spots today.
Low cost airline easyJet this morning begins its services from Newcastle International Airport to Nice, in the south of France, and Palma, capital city of Majorca.
The airport's commercial director Mike Luddy said: "The launch of these exciting routes takes the number of easyJet flights from Newcastle each week to 124."
