A TEAM of musicians, choir members and soloists will be performing the powerful story of Christ at church near Darlington this weekend.
Born For This uses music and poetry to echo the emotions associated with Jesus' last days on earth.
It was written and composed by four Christians, and first broadcast on radio in 1998.
Sunday's production will be staged at All Saint's Church, in Hurworth, at 7pm.
It is the second time the church choir has worked with the score. A selection of songs were performed five years ago with the help of Dugald McDowell.
This week's full length production, with 14 pieces of music and 15 readings, is being done in memory of Mr McDowell, who died last year.
Entrance to the event will be free, with donations going to the church and a charity chosen by Mr McDowell's wife, Joyce.
