STAFF at a Hartlepool bank are celebrating after being voted best in the country.
The town's NatWest workers beat strong competition from other branches across the country to be awarded the Customer Driven Branch Award, for delivering a quality service across a range of customer needs.
Scores given by customers through a questionnaire determined the result, and the staff at Hartlepool came out on top.
Manager Jackie Hodgman said: "When you work so hard as a team to deliver a quality service, it is great to receive a national award from the bank, but it means so much more because it is our customers' comments that have put the branch in the top spot."
