An investigation is underway after a two-month-old baby was found dead in his cot.
Jake William Sayers, who was born on March 28, was found dead at home in Elm Terrace, Catchgate, near Stanley, County Durham, on Friday, May 28.
He was certified dead on arrival at Durham's University Hospital.
Police confirmed today that they are treating his death as suspicious.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned yesterday at the coroner's office in Post Office House, Crook, County Durham.
