PD Teesport has loaded its largest steel vessel yet at the Teesport Steel Export Terminal.
The Bulk Saturn left port with a cargo of nearly 50,000 tonnes of steel - 40,000 of which came from Teesside Cast Products - bound for Pohang, and Korean steelmaker Dongkuk.
Also on board was 8,000 tonnes of steel section from Corus Construction and Industrial.
The ship was also carrying 1,500 tonnes of steel coil and pipe destined for Singapore, Manila, Kaohsiung and Hong Kong.
