Roadworks get under way on a busy dual carriageway in the region this weekend.
The section of the A1231 Sunderland Highway, between the A19 and A195 junctions, will be closed on Sunday, from 7am to 7pm.
A diversion will be in place. It is the first of three planned closures of stretches of the A1231 that will take place on consecutive Sundays.
