Wolsingham Club established themselves as the early leaders in the qualifying league when they completely out-played Crook Golden Fleece in a re-arranged match.

The Club batted first and went through to 110 all out in their twenty overs with White making 26 and Percival 25. The Fleece's batting was shattered as only the opener, Brown managed to get to doubles figures with 14 as the team was dismissed for 21 in seven overs. Pevelller took 3 for 1, Gillies 2 for 1, Shuttleworth 2 for 8 and Anderson 2 for 9.

Tow Law All Stars made their best start ever to the competition when they put up 136 with two wickets remaining in their twenty overs against Wolsingham All Stars. Telford led the scoring with 26, whilst Jenkins and Furber hit 24 each. The Wolsingham team made a spirited effort to reach the target with Michael Watson making 30, Everitt 26 and Deacon 18 but they were eventually dismissed for 114.

Crook Golden Fleece found their batting form when they went in first against Wolsingham Teachers and knocked up 135 in the twenty overs with Brown and Howe leading the scoring with 27 each, Donnelly adding 25 and Hawley 19. The Teachers were dismissed in the final over with their score on 90. Boyle made 28 and Nick Dalton 26.

Wolsingham Club threw the bat enthusiastically when they batted first against Stanhope Grey Bull and reached 162 for 5 in their allotted overs. Gillies led the scoring with 29, whilst Elliott made 28, Percival 27, Peart 26 and White 24. The Bull made a spirited effort in reply but did not manage to match the scoring rate and their overs ran out with their score on 95. Stephenson led the scoring with 28, Smith on 25 and Page on 22.
