Coors League: The new season will open on Monday 28 June with eleven teams already entered.

They are Esh Winning Stag's Head, Cornsay Royal Oak, Hamsteels Inn, Billy Row Club, Newhouse Club, Tow Law New Market A and B, Tow Law North Point, Sunniside Comedian, Tow Law Station and Tow Law Cattle Mart. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, 8 June at Esh Stag's Head.

The league is interested in extending the number of teams. The matches involve six singles, three doubles and two trebles as well as a Captain's League, Team Knock Out Cup and a League Singles and Doubles Championship. All games are played on Monday evenings. Any team interested in joining should contact the secretary, John Parkin on 01388 731116 immediately.

Crook Ladies League

Crook Jelly's Bar B only dropped one point to the visiting Tow Law North Point to move up to share the top spot with Willington New Inn, who only dropped two points at Tow Law Station B. These victories put these two teams three points clear of Crook Queen's Head A and Crook Cricket Club, who are one ahead of Tow Law New Market B and Billy Row Green B.

The leading individual scorers were Dawn Harrison and Margaret Stewart with 140 each for the Queen's Head A, Norma Parkin 137 and 121 for Crook Jelly's Bar B, Coral Humes 127 for Crook Cricket Club and Mary Sands 126 for Crook Belle Vue.
