A SENIOR North-East journalist has fallen to his death from a bridge.
The body of Roger Woodcock was found near the Sea nightclub, under the High Level Bridge, in Newcastle, at 5.20am on Wednesday.
Mr Woodcock, who was in his late fifties, was the long-serving chief reporter of the Gateshead Post and also wrote for the Sunday Sun.
He lived alone at Teams, in Gateshead.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
