Brandon romped to 140 for six and then dismissed Crook Town for 29, writes Malcolm Pratt.

Jamie Robinson, who has appeared in the Brandon first team this season, was in good form with the bat and he found the boundary line nine times making a top scoring 49. Tom Orton added 24 with one six and no fewer than four fours while Tom Curry carried his bat for 21 hitting a six and two boundaries. Michael Jane was the most productive bowler in the Crook attack capturing two wickets for 16 runs in five overs.

When they replied the Crook youngsters fond the Brandon bowling problematic. Glen Ram captured three for five from the nine balls he delivered and Tom Orton completed a good night by picking up three wickets at a cost of one run in two overs.

Michael Jane top scored with 17 out of a Crook total of 29. In contrast, Sedgefield realised 173 for the loss of just four wickets in 20 overs when they visited Etherley. Hughes struck an unbeaten 88 and Gibson ended undefeated on 56 while for Etherley Chris Hall took two of the four wickets to go down for 42 runs. When they responded Etherley were back in the pavilion with just 34 on the board. Laidler claimed three wickets for six runs, Brown three for eight and Adcock two for two in the Sedgefield bowling line-up.

After posting 95 for three Washington lost by seven wickets at Esh Winning. Jonathan Rochford led the Esh reply with four boundaries out of an undefeated 35 while Ryan McCourt made 22 with one four. Batting first Washington were indebted to Cowley for his 31 which included a six and to Sawyers who finished unbeaten on 29. Michael Oughton was in good form with the ball for Esh Winning and his two wickets cost him 22 runs in four overs.
