Federation Special Durham Senoir League: It's all change at the top again with Burnmoor returning to pole position for the first time since the middle of May.

However, pride of place from the weekend games goes to Seaham Harbour who moved off the bottom. They produced a superb comeback at Horden which provided them with their first victory of the summer.

At one stage, it appeared as though the Harbour wouldn't reach treble figures. At 62 for nine, the end looked in sight until Paul Snaith and Duncan Lorraine added a vital 48 to take the final score to 110.

Andrew Robson, Keith Cheetham and Carl Watson, with three wickets each, still had Horden in apparent control. Then came the Harbour fightback.

When Adrian Hedley (34) left with the score on 47 for three wickets, Neville Gustard and Stephen Sennett took over. Gustard's 14.3 overs yielded a matchwinning 7-41 and with great support from slow bowler Sennett (3-7) Seaham ended up winning by 29 runs.

Hetton Lyons disappointed in the derby at home to South Hetton when they could only make 146. Stephen Massey (5-44) and John Pendlington (4-20) saw to that but the Lyons went down fighting.

Bob Steel and John Leslie made useful contributions en route to victory but Gary Adey (4-43) again posed problems. In the end, South Hetton made it to victory with three wickets to spare.

Eppleton failed to win at Felling who lay near the bottom before this game. A century from skipper Graeme Wright (110) though, helped his side to 186.

Pick of the Eppleton bowlers were Matthew Jane (4-40) and Stuart Lacey (3-47) but Eppleton were left with much to do. Needing 102 from the final 20 overs, Neil McKinney (53) and David Lowther (36) had kept Eppleton in the hunt.

However, it was Wright again with four wickets who prevented Eppleton reaching their target.

The South Shields bowlers were given scant respect at Burnmoor. The opening productive partnership saw Barry Dews (60) and Mark Benfield (55) accelerate rapidly.

Then, towards the end, John Tindale and Graham Stoker smacked 70 in just 32 minutes and Shields were left chasing 237 to win. The Shields innings then centred around Ashok Patel.

The former Burnmoor player collared the bowling at every opportunity. He cracked 14 fours, a six and a five in his unbeaten 142 and Shields picked up a draw.

Whitburn raced to victory against Durham City. Ashley Thorpe (6-21) and Neil Johnson (3-43) demolished some very ordinary City batting in just 27.3 overs.

Chasing a meagre 69 to win proved very easy. Thorpe, from his 15 balls received, smacked an undefeated 41 (five fours and three sixes) and Whitburn won in just 32 minutes batting.

Boldon timed their run chase against Marsden perfectly. Lee Whalley (97) and Mark Scott (36) saw Marsden over a difficult period adding 64 in 24 minutes to enable they topped the 200 mark.

Although Grant Forster (33) and Geoff Houmark looked comfortable, their scoring wasn't particularly fast initially leaving Boldon requiring six an over from the final 20. But Houmark (63), Richard Potter (55no) and then Philip Shakespeare saw Boldon to victory in the penultimate over.
