Crook Town B took over the top spot in the table despite losing in the local derby to Crook Town A.
The B team had a disastrous first half when only Lee Scott managed to put a point on the board, whilst the A team raced into a big lead with wins from Steve Liddle, Jim Ainsley, Michael Burke, Neil Campbell, Doug Bowey and Aaron Cowan.
The second half saw a complete turn around as the A only managed two points through Jim Ainsley and Stephen Burke, whilst the B team made up for the poor first half with wins from Gerald Parkin, Les Scott, Darren Tinkler, Lee Cullinan and Lee Scott. However this defeat puts Spennymoor in a strong position as they only trail by four points with a match in hand.
The leading positions in the Player of the Year table are 1 Gerald Parkin (Crook B) played 16, won 13; 2 Neil Campbell (Crook A) 16, 12; 3 equal Gavin Witton (Spennymoor) and Ronnie McAloon (Spennymoor) 14, 11; 5 Paul Shutt (Durham) 16, 11; 6 Steven Hunter (Spennymoor) 14, 10; 7 equal Ian Sanderson (Shildon B) and David Stephenson (Crook B) 16, 10.
