Thirteen proved to be lucky for Witton Park Rose and Crown for after losing their first 12 matches they made their first victory in the 13th.
The visitors to Witton Park were Bishop Auckland RAFA Club with the home side taking two singles points through Paul Frame and one each from Barry Thexton, Brian Hardy, Charlie Routledge and Kevin Bowers. The RAFA Club had two points from David Gaskins with one each from Ronnie Drennan and Bob Chambers. The Rose and Crown then clinched their first victory when Stuart Barker and Paul Frame took the doubles before David Gaskins made the score respectable when he beat Barry Thexton in both captain's games.
Crook Travellers Rest maintained their tilt for the title when they only dropped two points to the visiting Willington Brewer's Droop, who only took one singles point when Alan Varkurish won. The Travellers had two singles wins from Michael Burke, Gavin Hudspith, Joe McCabe and Aaron Cowan with Neil Campbell adding one. The home side added the doubles through Gavin Hiudspith and Michael Burke before Neil Campbell and Billy Wragg shared the captain's games.
Henknowle Manor lead the table by nine points from the Travellers Rest, who are one ahead of Shildon Royal George.
