A THEATRE company is staging a variety show to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Arena North will be performing A Bit of Crack, a night of comedy, song and sketches at The Cluny, Lime Street, Newcastle, on July 13 and 14 and The Caedmon Hall, Gateshead Central Library, on July 15.
The production will feature North-East actors and musicians and will include sketches capturing the unique flavour of life in the region including a Geordie version of the TV comedy show The Royle Family renamed Wor Family.
Director Fran Biggs, from Cramlington, said: "A Bit of Crack offers something for everyone and promises a good night out while helping to raise money for a worthwhile cause."
Tickets for A Bit of Crack cost £5, (£4 concessions), and are available in advance from The Cluny, The Caedmon Hall, in Gateshead, and The Dressing Room, Ashburton Road, Gosforth, or by calling (01670) 714601 or 0191-285 9000.
