SCHOOLCHILDREN are celebrating after achieving success in a regional art competition.
Pupils from more than 26 primary, secondary and special schools from the borough of Stockton submitted their art for the Northumbria in Bloom children's calendar painting competition.
Of the seven entries submitted to the regional finals, four were placed third in their categories and one, Carol Devine from St Michael's RC Comprehensive School, Billingham, was overall winner with her entry being published in a 2005 calendar.
The paintings are on display at Preston Hall, near Eaglescliffe.
