CIU League: Crook Belle Vue were stretched in the darts section before they held on to their unbeaten record with an odd point win over their hosts, third placed Byers Green. Cockton Hill are in second place, eight points behind crook and five ahead of Byers Green.

Newfield lost the top of the dominoes section match at Cockton Hill but still lead their conquerors by four points at the top of the table. Byers green, Ferryhill and Crowtrees all share the third place, two points behind.

Ferryhill went down by the odd point at home in the pool section to the Prospect but still lead the section by eight points. Cockton Hill are in second place, one point ahead of Willington.

JG Taxis League

Willington Brewer's Droop A were able to move into third place in the darts section following their maximum win over their B team. The winners points came from Bob Smith, Billy Wragg, John Moore, Jimmy Fleming and Keith Newton. This result left the Brewer's A one point behind Hunwick Quarry and six behind the leaders from Ushaw Moor Catholic Club.

In the top of the table clash in the dominoes section Hunwick Quarry lost touch with their hosts and leaders, Ushaw Moor Catholic Club when they had Malcolm Lowe as their only winner. The home side had points from Bob Marsh, Kevin Ryans, Graham Richardson and Robert Milburn to go five points clear at the top. The Hunwick team lead Willington Brewer's Droop A by one point.

Willington Cottles went down to their second defeat of the season when the visiting Willington Burn beat them. This left Cottles six points behind the leading Ushaw Moor Catholic Club but nine ahead of Willington Brewer's Droop A. Brett Fleming won two points for Cottles with Paul Trow and John Gallagher adding one each, whilst the Burn had two points from Joe Chatterton with Andy Irwin, Rob Thompson, Steven Kyle and Martin Rooney adding one each.

The Annual Presentation Evening was held in West Auckland Club with the trophies handed over by Mick McGlasham, the Durham Branch secretary, and Eric Campbell the Area Delegate on the Branch Executive Committee.

In the darts section the team trophy was won by West Auckland with Cockton Hill the runners-up; the captain's trophy by Horndale with Evenwood runners-up; the pairs by Cockton Hill with West Auckland runners-up and the pairs knockout by West Auckland with Cockton Hill the runners-up. Chris Kitch had the most singles wins with 18.

In the dominoes section the team trophy was won by Old Shildon with Evenwood the runners-up; the captain's trophy by West Auckland with Horndale runners-up; the pairs by West Auckland with Cockton Hill runners-up and the pairs knockout by Cockton Hill with Eldon Lane the runners-up. Alan Bell had the most singles wins with 13.

In the whist section the team trophy was won by Eldon Lane with Horndale the runners-up; the captain's trophy by Cockton Hill with West Auckland runners-up; the pairs by West Auckland with Cockton Hill runners-up and the pairs knockout by West Auckland with Cockton Hill the runners-up. John Bell had the most singles wins with 17.

In the 5's & 3's section the team trophy was won by Horndale with Old Shildon the runners-up; the captain's trophy by Eldon Lane with Old Shildon runners-up; the pairs by Old Shildon with Evenwood runners-up and the pairs knockout by West Auckland with Cockton Hill the runners-up. Jeff Bowron had the most singles wins with 15.

The Area Union Team Knock Out Trophy winners were Cockton Hill with Old Shildon taking the runners-up awards. Eldon Lane, who beat West Auckland in the final, won the Team Knock Out.
