NURSERY staff and parents are celebrating after being praised in a report.
Bournmoor Nursery, at Bournmoor Primary School, was described as a providing a "warm and welcoming environment".
The Ofsted inspectors found that progress and provision in personal, social and emotional development and communication were all very good along with language, literacy and creative development. Progress in maths, knowledge and understanding of the world were considered good.
Nursery manager Carol Wallace said: "It is great to be told you are doing things well. Our next step is to develop our outside area.
"We are pleased that, thanks to the efforts of committee members, we have just received a grant from Awards for All and we will be able to provide stimulating outdoor education in all the areas of learning."
The report highlighted very good features of teaching and very good support for children with special educational needs.
Ofsted found that parents were kept informed through high quality written and verbal information and that they were encouraged to be involved with the nursery's work.
Parent Andrea Maughan said: "The staff have done a marvellous job with our children and made a big impression on their lives.
"They provide a lovely environment and welcome and involve parents. We are delighted Ofsted has given them such a good report."
