AS the long summer holidays approach, youngsters across the Hambleton area are being promised plenty of activities to keep them busy.
Leisure centres are planning a series of Hyper Holiday activities in Northallerton, Stokesley, Thirsk, Bedale and Easingwold.
Everything from sailing and surfing, rock climbing and trampolining, to arts and crafts, creepy crawlies and a version of TV's Hell's Kitchen are on offer to entertain children during the long school break.
"This year's Hyper Holiday programme has something for everyone," said Hambleton District Council spokesman on health Councillor Neville Huxtable.
"We have all the old favourites on offer, but some new ones too, especially for teenagers, who often feel they are too old to come along to holiday activities."
The Hyper Holidays programme is sponsored by car dealer Simon Bailes and Peugeot, and everyone taking part will be entered in a free draw for a dual-suspension mountain bike.
