THREE people were being questioned by police last night after their arrest over the alleged stabbing of a man and woman.
Police were called to a property in Awnless Court, South Shields, South Tyneside, shortly before 5.30am yesterday.
They found a 28-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman with injuries.
Both were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries said to be serious but not life-threatening.
Three people arrested in connection with the incident last night remained in police custody.
