Foster's Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League: Tynedale came down to earth with a bump when they conceded their unbeaten record at Leadgate.

The pace of Lee Innes and the spin provided by Masood Mirza and Bila Rana won the day for Leadgate who sent their opponents crashing to 66 all out - their lowest score for some considerable time.

Innes took four wickets for a mere ten runs while the spin pair shared the other six wickets at economical cost.

Although the home side lost three wickets, they were never in danger as Innes completed a good day scoring 31.

Ashington are the new leaders following their decisive victory over Sacriston, who were all out for just 84 when Stephen Boyd took five for 29. A half-century by Stuart Tiffen had moved the Colliers past the 200 mark.

Lanchester's recently appointed professional Atta-ur-Rehman was in splendid form leading his side to victory at Benwell and Walbottle. A match-winning innings of 96 included a couple of sixes and ten boundaries from 108 balls.

Swalwell improved their position near the bottom, defeating Shotley Bridge by six wickets. Although they only required 120, Swalwell's batsmen had to work hard on a difficult wicket and contributions of 30 by Stephen Humble and 32 not out from John Collingwood proved crucial.

Whickham's plight at the bottom worsened with a 100 runs defeat by Annfield Plain for whom David Newstead (45), Graeme Carr (41) and David Maughan with 45 led their side to an impressive 239-5.

Ponteland enhanced their promotion prospects from Division A2 with a quick-fire win over Ryton who were all out in 30 overs for 88 and not even an unbeaten century by Andrew Waters could save Consett from defeat at Greenside who won by four wickets with just eight balls remaining.
