A BLUEPRINT aimed at strengthening relations between the public and voluntary sectors in the Darlington borough will be launched today.
The first local compact between Darlington Borough Council, Darlington Primary Care Trust and community groups will be signed by local dignitaries.
The compact is said to be a "statement of partnership" for the organisations, pledging them to work together more closely in future, to aid the town's prosperity.
More than 60 representatives of voluntary and community groups will be at the Crown Street Library for the event, with Darlington MP Alan Milburn.
