PLANS have been submitted to convert a former pig farm near Lightwater Valley theme park into a concrete manufacturing plant.
Lightwater Farms Limited submitted the plans to North Yorkshire County Council for the site at Potgate Farm, North Stainley.
A decision will be taken by the county council, but Harrogate Borough Council has been consulted and voted in favour.
Councillors said they had no objections provided landscaping and environmental issues were satisfactory.
The plant would manufacture concrete blocks and decorative products.
It is estimated that between five and eight vehicles would visit the plant each day.
