A RADIO station is celebrating after an independent survey found more listeners tuning in.
Figures show that 96.6 TFM, which broadcasts from Stockton, has attracted 5,000 new listeners.
The station said that a live concert eight days ago proved its ability to attract chart-topping singers with a line up that included Will Young, McFly, Lemar, Girls Aloud, Shaznay Lewis and Jennifer Ellison.
Cath Ellington, managing director of 96.6 TFM and Magic 1170, said: "This fantastic set of listening figures is testament to the strength of our programming line-up.
"Basically, we are giving people exactly what they want, with a great mix of music and great on-air personalities."
