TIGHTROPE walking and plate-spinning were some of the skills children were taught at a circus workshop yesterday.
The Magic Carpet theatre company held the sessions at Darlington Arts Centre prior to two sold-out circus performances there today.
The workshop ended with a demonstration for parents and friends.
Bonnie Davies, the centre's education and creative learning officer, said: "The concentration on the children's faces this morning was amazing.
"They worked so hard but did not realise it because they were enjoying themselves so much. It was wonderful to see."
