A MAN is seriously ill in hospital after he was beaten up outside a packed pub.
The 25-year-old victim suffered serious head injuries in the assault outside the Barmston Club, in Washington, Wearside.
A pub row is thought to have spilled into the street at about 8pm on Sunday.
The victim's condition deteriorated over the following days and he was admitted to hospital on Tuesday. Last night, he was said to be in a serious condition.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
