A TODDLER suffered serious leg injuries following a road accident.
The three-year-old broke both the tibia and fibula in his right leg after the accident involving a car outside his Hartlepool home at about 2pm on Friday afternoon.
The youngster was playing in the garden of his home in Whitrout Road, near King Oswy shops, when he ran from the garden, through an open gate, and was in a collision with the passing car.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact PC Julie Tassell on (01642) 301552.
