THE inquest into the death of Nusrat Ali, who sustained multiple stab wounds at her home in Lothian Road, Middlesbrough, heard she died of haemorrhaging and shock.

The 25-year-old call-centre worker died on August 17. Her body was formally identified by her sister, Razia Ali, in the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.

Home Office pathologist Dr James Sunter told the hearing she had suffered several stab wounds.

Teesside Coroner Michael Sheffield adjourned the inquest until the outcome of crown court proceedings.

Amir Shazad, 29, also of Lothian Road, was last month remanded in custody charged with her murder and is due to appear in court on October 22, when he is expected to enter a plea.
