POLICE are concerned for the welfare of a teenager who has been missing since Wednesday.
Melissa Cox, 14, from Newcastle, has not been seen since she left Talbot House School, in the city, at 4pm.
Although she has gone missing previously from her home in the Kingston Park area of the city, police are concerned because she has not been in touch for two days.
Melissa is described as white, 5ft 3in and slim. She has brown shoulder-length hair, tied in a pony tail. She was wearing dark blue jeans, a lilac T-shirt, white Nike trainers and a dark blue Regatta waterproof jacket.
Police believe she may be in the Gateshead area.
