TWO people were injured in an accident on the A1(M) near Durham Service Station, at Bowburn, yesterday morning.
A female driver had to be cut from the wreckage by fire crews after her car was involved in a collision with a van shortly before 10.15am.
The van driver was freed before the arrival of the fire brigade.
Both were taken to hospital suffering from chest injuries.
