THE third annual Ilkley sale of horses, ponies and donkeys for B H Gray and Son, conducted by Thirsk Auction Mart, saw bidding peak at 1,100gns for an eight-year-old fell mare with a filly foal at foot. Fell mares and foals averaged 906gns.
Prices. - Fell stallion 2-y-o 775gns; Dales 4-y-o-filly 800gns; skewbald geldings to 1,000gns av 785gns; coloured fillies to £910; coloured geldings to £680; donkey geldings to 600gns av 460gns.
Ponies: Weslh section B filly £530; Welsh section A gelding £150; Dartmoor X to 350gns; bays to 360gns; greys to 520gns; spotted yesarling fillies to £750; spotted gelding 660gns; spotted mares run with stallion to £760; black & white mares run with stallion to 3790.
