A SEASIDE hotel is to be refurbished after the owner's nephew decided to take over.
Lee Dexter, and his wife Claire, who own the Marine Hotel in Seaton Carew, will take over the Park Hotel, in Redcar.
It was previously owned by Mr Dexter's uncle Malcolm McKee, who has run the 33-room hotel on The Esplanade for more than 16 years.
The deal will allow the pair to expand their chain of hotels and keep the business in the family.
Mr Dexter said he was delighted to take over from his uncle and said he would expand the hotel further.
The move was possible thanks to funding from NatWest.
