A COMPETITION has been launched in Hartlepool in a bid to find environmental champions.
The Pride in Your Neighbourhood Awards have an October 15 deadline. The scheme is part of Hartlepool Borough Council's Pride in Hartlepool campaign and aims to recognise the efforts of local people.
The categories are: environmentally active individual; environmentally active residents group; environmentally active group of young people; environmentally active business; environmentally active school; best wildlife project; best school grounds; most improved plot; adopt-a-beach; special achievement.
