Police have recovered heroin and money after raids in South Tyneside.
The police operation was carried out at several addresses in South Shields on Wednesday.
Three men and two women were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs. Officers said they seized hundreds of pounds in cash, a quantity of heroin and several mobile phones.
